Feldenkrais

Awareness through Movement

"If you know what you do, you can do what you want."

(Moshé Feldenkrais)

During group lessons, the students are verbally instructed to use movement for exploratory purposes. The senses are honed, individual patterns detected and maybe changed.

The Feldenkrais practitioner invites his students constantly to find new possibilities and make new connections through experimentation and variation. Many Feldenkrais lessons start from a supine position from where they become more dynamic or change between sitting, kneeling, standing and other positions.

No athleticism is needed, no previous knowledge required. Everyone starts with their unique sets of possibilities and habits and enters an individual process from whereever this starting point is.
